If you haven’t tried kickboxing, it’s an awesome workout. Punching and kicking helps you lose weight, get fit, de-stress and feel STRONG. At KUMA Fit, we’ve taken it to the next level by mixing up every class using HIIT interval timers and exercises to maximize your workout in just 45 minutes. Beginners welcome! Wear workout gear and sneakers.

Chi Kung Level I

The gentle exercise of Chi Kung (pronounced Chee Gong) relieves stress without straining joints, muscles or ligaments. Slow graceful movements combined with meditation, Chi Kung controls energy flow while increasing stamina and awareness. This ancient Chinese practice combines intentional, controlled breathing with movements to encourage the flow of chi (vital energy) in the body elevating the immune system, releasing nervous tension and eliminating a buildup of stress, all important factors in maintaining optimal health. Wear loose clothing and comfortable shoes.

Mark Gerardi, studying and teaching martial arts for 25 years, is the founder of Samurai Fitness and a member of the National Qigong Association. He is a powerful energy healer with formal education in Shiatsu, Herbalism, EFT, KCR and Reiki.

A slow-paced, meditative practice where poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes, with the focus on relaxing the muscles and stretching parts of the body rich in connective tissues. This calming and balancing practice supports joint flexibility, reduces stress levels and increases energy. No experience necessary. Postures will be held in seated or lying down positions. Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat.

Janet Spiegel, RYT-200 Fluid Yoga, began practicing yoga a decade ago. Her practice/teachings honor the balance between energetic movement and peace and her goal is to support students as they make discoveries about themselves through freedom in body, mind and spirit.

Yoga in Your Chair - Spring

This gentle yoga class offers all the benefits without the need to get up and down from the floor. Yoga postures are adapted for practicing seated or standing using the chair for support when needed. You will be guided through postures, breathing and relaxation techniques with a focus on releasing tension, improving flexibility and creating mindfulness. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and bring an extra layer. All levels welcome, no prior experience necessary. Note: Shoes will need to be removed before entering the classroom area.David Campbell, Yoga Alliance RYT 200, holds certifications in on-chair and off-chair yoga. He teaches a weekly yoga class at Samudra Studio and believes the benefits of yoga should be available to anyone.
