As a follow up to Chi Kung I, explore other aspects and forms as well the how tos of the healing experience of this art. Experience in Chi Kung is helpful but not required. Wear loose clothing and comfortable shoes.

Mark Gerardi, studying and teaching martial arts for 25 years, is the founder of Samurai Fitness and a member of the National Qigong Association. He is also a powerful energy healer with formal education in Shiatsu, Herbalism, EFT, KCR and Reiki.

Intro to Working Out

Are you intimidated by big gyms? Learn simple ways to work out using typical gym equipment in a comfortable atmosphere with an experienced trainer. An individualized routine will be put together based on your wants and needs!

Required: A pen and comfortable work out gear.

Tommy Aikins has been working out for 42 years, in gyms all over the US & Asia, and has learned about physical fitness from many people, including accomplished bodybuilders.

T’ai Chi Level II

Strengthen and deepen your T’ai Chi practice by expanding your basic exercises while putting moves together to create a form. Some meditation practices may be included as an aid to relaxation, stress reduction and pain management. Wear loose-fitting clothing and comfortable shoes. No class 11/11.

Required: T’ai Chi Level I.

Yoga in Your Chair

This gentle yoga class offers all the benefits without the need to get down and up from the floor. Yoga postures are adapted for practicing seated or standing, using a chair for support when needed. You will be guided through postures, breathing and relaxation techniques with a focus on releasing tension, improving flexibility and creating mindfulness. Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and bring an extra layer. All levels welcome, no prior experience necessary. No class 11/28.

David Campbell holds Yoga Alliance RYT 200 and additional certifications in on-chair and off-chair yoga. He teaches at Samudra in Saco and believes the benefits of yoga should be available to everyone.
