Pronounced chee gong, this ancient Chinese exercise relieves stress without straining joints, muscles or ligaments. Control energy flow while increasing stamina and awareness through slow graceful movements with meditation. This practice combines intentional controlled breathing to encourage the flow of chi (vital energy) in the body, elevating the immune system, releasing nervous tension and eliminating stress for optimal health. Wear loose-fitting clothing and comfortable shoes.

Required: Masks and distancing. Bring proof of registration.

Tai Chi benefits all ages and has been proven to reduce the risk of falling by enhancing balance and body awareness. Restorative Yoga Flow - Live Online

This class is for Yogis who are just starting their yoga journey as well as experienced practitioners. Keeping a slow and mindful pace with awareness of the breath throughout the class. Stretching and strengthening through a few standing poses then melting into a restorative flow. We will use props for support in both standing and floor poses to aid with balance as well as easing into floor sequences. Please wear comfy clothes and have a yoga mat, yoga blocks or books, small blanket or towel and a pillow available during class. Registration closes at noon on 4/30. Forever Fit provides a series of classical and contemporary Pilates repertoire that emphasizes movement connecting your body and mind. Proper breathing technique is important along with a basis in core strength while using modifications to keep people safe, yet challenged in their own body. Wear clothes to move in, have a cushiony yoga mat (on a rug or towels) and water. No class 5/31. Registration closes at noon the 1st day of class.

Kelsie Steil, choreographer, dancer, educator and pilates practitioner/instructor. graduated from Plymouth State University with a Bachelors in Adventure Education and Dance in May 2018. She instructs pilates regularly for Forever Fit and has been working in Maine as a Pilates instructor since 2019. Kelsie is certified through the PhysicalMind Institute and combines her knowledge of dance and fitness in her pilates practice for an experience that is attentive, challenging and empowering.

Yin Yoga

This slow-paced, meditative practice holds poses for 3 to 5 minutes, with the focus on relaxing the muscles and stretching parts of the body rich in connective tissues. Postures may be held in seated or lying down positions. This calming and balancing practice supports joint flexibility, reduces stress and increases energy. No experience necessary. No class 5/31.

Required: Bring proof of registration. Masks and distancing. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat.Chani Cochrane, Yoga Alliances certified with 200 hours, began exploring her own yoga practice after a long career in massage therapy and kids yoga. She believes in the healing powers of breath and movement and the community connection that a yoga family provides.

The freeing movements will leave you and your body feeling liberated and craving more! Registration closes at noon the 1st day of class.

Required: Masks and distancing. Bring proof of registration, wear clothing that is easy to move in and dress appropriately for weather. If you have a hoop you love, bring it along. Otherwise, hoops will be provided.
