Wild Edibles Walking Tour

Identifying wild plants is an ancient, invaluable human skill. Plants provide food, medicine, useful materials for tools, supplies and more. We'll identify as many as we can on our walk. You may want to bring a notepad, camera or a basket to collect samples. Class includes some unique and delicious snacks. Please dress appropriately for the outdoors.

Zack Rouda is founding director of Rewild Maine, an educational nonprofit program in Portland. His mission is to deepen the connection between people and the Earth through land stewardship, education and community.

A wonderful exercise for every belly! This judgment-free space will focus on movement, positive body image, encouragement and support! Learn basic movements and combinations, while the more advanced students will begin experimenting with layers. The tummy-toning results are a positive side effect for inspiration! Movement, vocabulary, musicality and history of this beautiful art will be explored. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Shoes and hip scarves are optional.

Jessica Barker has been belly dancing for most of her adult life, starting with the Desert Dancers with Miraya Swanson and continuing her studies with world-renowned instructors Nathifa Shakti, Heather Powers and Rosa Noreen.

Kristen Bartlett was exposed to art at a very early age, inspiring her lifelong creative path. With schooling in drawing, oil painting, graphic design and photography, Kristen practices many forms of art and crafts.
