Latin Workout with Lazaro!

Get your sweat on with the music of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Afro Rumba and more. Bust stress, boost energy and burn calories while using traditional and unique moves to fabulous dance music. Improvisation is encouraged. Wear sneakers and comfortable workout clothes and be prepared to have a blast! No class February 19th.

Lazaro Hernandez Pomares grew up in Cuba, where he began dancing at a very young age and attended a Cuban school of dance, finishing with a degree in Physical Education. He was invited to teach in Russia, later moving to Portland, ME, where he is known as one of the most energetic and skilled dance instructors available.

Spinning for Rookies

Our instructors will coach and inspire you to find self-motivation through a mind-body connection and exhilarating music that will beg your legs to pedal through flats and hills. Class is geared for beginning participants, although all levels are welcome, as everyone works at their own pace. First timers, please arrive 15 minutes before your first class for bike setup instructions. Bring a water bottle and towel, and enjoy the ride! Registrations accepted through OOB/Saco Adult Education only. No class February 18th.

Paula Truman, certified spinning instructor, has been teaching for many years and works with all fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes.

Getting Fit Without a Gym!

Learn about getting fit and putting it into practice. Finding time to work out is difficult, add travel time to a gym and it feels near impossible! The gym can be intimidating for beginners, yet you may feel lost on how to create a safe and effective home workout. Join us and gain an understanding of how your body moves, learn the many benefits of exercise, and recognize what you can do to reduce risk of falls or injury. Build your own low-tech home gym and create a safe and effective workout at home. You will be working within your own abilities so modifications will be made for anyone who needs it. You will be performing exercises to understand correct form, so please dress accordingly.

Stephanie Walsh is a certified nutrition therapy practitioner, eating psychology coach and personal trainer. She loves having the opportunity to use her expertise to change people's lives for the better. Her focus is a holistic approach -- treating each person as unique, and considering many aspects of their lives to create a program catered specifically to each client.
