Nighttime Photography

Make your best shot after the sun sets and before it rises! Learn how to capture the Milky Way, moonlit scenes, and more. Aurora activity is reaching its 22-year cycle peak in the summer of 2025, and this session will include all you need to capture stunning aurora images right here in Maine! Equipment needed to successfully capture images at night will also be discussed. Geared to uses of DSLR cameras and Android cell phone cameras, however, iPhone users will benefit from suggested software and processing methods to expand on limitations inherent to that platform.
