Are you thinking of becoming a citizen of the United States? We can help you prepare. Learn what to do to become a citizen, study history and government, discuss rights and responsibilities, and prepare for the exam.

Steve Boillot received a BA from the University of Missouri and has taught ESOL for over 10 years after retiring from a career in college textbook publishing. He has also been teaching our Citizen class for many years.

This session meets Thursday, January 10th, 2019, from 10 AM-12 PM at the Saco Learning Center, 80 Common St, Saco, ME.

What is our Maine College & Career Access (MCCA) Program?

This no cost program is intended to prepare students with the skills to help them succeed in college. Special attention will be paid to the application process and financial aid, as well as fundamentals such as note-taking and study skills. Guest speakers from various local organizations and two college visits will also be included in the schedule.

Students are required to be enrolled in the full program unless given special permission by the Program Director. At the conclusion of the program students who wish to keep their books may purchase them at the Learning Center. Call 207-282-3846 or 207-934-7922 (summer) to set up a meeting with Liis Nigol, our Student Services Coordinator, if you are unable to attend the info session.

Liis Nigol, Student Services Coordinator, has an MEd in Counseling. For the past 30 years she has worked as a school counselor for K-12 schools and as a career counselor on the college level. She has been the counselor with OOB/Saco Adult Ed since 2006.
