Explore your love for the outdoors, art-making and the historic Biddeford Mill District! Take in the beautiful textures, shapes, light and shadow of the Mills' architecture. Learn to see the landscape as broad areas of value and shape to create sophisticated sketches. All drawing levels welcome. Please arrive by 9 AM as we will be moving to various locations. Wear comfortable shoes and layered clothing. Drawing materials included. No class 5/24.

Note: Bring an easel (not required), sunscreen, water bottle and a folding chair or blanket.

Move on to lawn care with a general cool season turf care calendar provided. Discuss the care of your garden: when and where seeds should be started, weeding, mulches, fertilizers, compost, lime use and harvesting. Get a brief overview of annuals, perennials, soil and composting. Having an understanding of color theory is important for any visual artist. Discuss visual vocabulary, color relationships and explore hands-on applications of color theory and mixing. Paint your own color wheels and charts - useful resources that you can take home and use to help with future artistic endeavors!

Required: Watercolor paper, watercolor palette w/ brush, pencil, round watercolor brush (if not bought with palette), cup for water (available at Michael’s, approx. $12).

Beginner Yoga - Live Online
