Yoga for Functional Movement - Live Online
with Joy Marie Many
Connect with your breath and being to release habitual patterns and integrate functional movements! Functional movements are natural human movements that engage core musculature prior to global muscles, and involve transitions up and down from the ground, squats, lunges, et cetera. This yoga includes breathwork, core stability, spinal flexibility, dynamic balance and myofascial release as we explore functional neutral postures/movements. With an emphasis on spinal alignment, deep core strength and symmetry, the practice grows self-awareness and more intentional, effortless movement off the mat.
Suggested Materials: yoga mat, tennis ball/foam roller. All experience levels welcome. Registration closes at noon on 9/10.
Required: Gmail account as this class will be held using GoogleMeets.
