Yin Yoga

This slow-paced, meditative practice holds poses for 3 to 5 minutes, focusing on relaxing the muscles and stretching parts of the body rich in connective tissues. Postures may be held in seated or prone positions. Calming and balancing, this practice supports joint flexibility, reduces stress and increases energy. No experience necessary. No class 9/15.
Required: Proof of registration. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing; bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks, a bolster (couch pillows work) and a blanket.
Jessy Lynn Ostara, a 500-hour Certified Yoga Instructor, has years of experience teaching several movement modalities. Her concentration is in meditative belly dance, yin, hatha and chair yoga. She is also a certified meditation teacher through the ShivaShakti School of Yoga and Healing Arts.
