Silk Scarf Painting

In this class we will take the process of silk painting from the beginning: stretching the silk, choosing a design that is appropriate to the medium, applying your design, the resist, the dyes. To the finished scarf: setting the dyes, detaching and rinsing the scarf, and finally enjoying the work of our hands. Please bring a bag lunch (or purchase lunch at a local shop,. The instructor will provide many design choices for students to use on their silk and the silk stretchers for the student's use.
