Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult and Community Education

Working primarily in charcoal, explore contour, depth, composition, and perspective derived from observing natural and still-life objects. We will also discuss the importance of various drawing media and papers. Whether you are repeating the class or joining for the first time, you are bound to learn something new! No class 9/21.

Required: Drawing pad, pencil-charcoal, soft or extra soft vine; Strathmore charcoal paper, gum or kneaded rubber eraser, and an easel (optional) (approx. $20–$30).

Russel Whitten, a local artist and teacher, studied at The Art Students League of New York, Heartwood College of Art, and is a member of The Ogunquit Art Association/Barn Gallery. Students love his easy, supportive style.
