Working primarily in charcoal, explore contour, depth, composition and perspective derived from observing natural and still life objects. We will also discuss drawing media and papers.
Required: Drawing pad, pencil-charcoal, soft or extra soft vine; Strathmore charcoal paper, gum or kneaded rubber eraser and an easel (optional) (approx. $20).
Russel Whitten, a local artist/teacher, studied at The Art Students League of New York, Heartwood College of Art, and is a member of The Ogunquit Art Association/Barn Gallery. Students love his easy, supportive style.
