Ron Romano is a cemetery historian and author of four gravestone & cemetery-themed books. He serves as an officer on the national nonprofit board of the Association for Gravestone Studies and is a frequent lecturer on early Maine gravestones and their makers. Formerly the leader of the walking tour program for Portland’s 350-year-old Eastern Cemetery, he’s guided countless visitors through that historic site and has led tours at many other historic cemeteries in Southern ME.
