Ron Romano is a cemetery historian and author of four gravestone & cemetery-themed books. He serves as an officer on the national board of the Association for Gravestone Studies and frequently lectures on early Maine gravestones and their makers. Formerly the walking tours program leader for Portland’s 350-year-old Eastern Cemetery, he’s guided countless visitors through that historic site and many others in Southern Maine.
