Becoming a Notary Public - Spring
with Frank Lee
A notary’s primary duty is to formally witness transactions involving paper documents and, in Maine, officiate at weddings. Prepare to be commissioned as a notary public, learn the history of the office, its powers and duties, eligibility, procedures and record-keeping. Leave with all the testing and paperwork completed and ready to submit to the State. Applicants must be residents of ME or NH residents who are regularly employed or carrying on a trade or business in Maine. The State’s license (fee approx. $50) is valid for 7 years.
Frank Lee is a full-time firefighter/paramedic. He has been involved with technology instruction and security since 1996 and is currently involved with technology integration in the fire and EMS fields. Frank has also been a Maine notary public since 2006.
