Introduction to Pilates Mat

Learn basic pilates mat exercises designed to strengthen and lengthen the body in a safe and efficient way. Pilates is a wonderful way to strengthen your entire body and increase flexibility, mobility, balance, and coordination. No experience is necessary and exercises can be modified to suit everyone's personal needs. Pilates is commonly used as a form of rehabilitation and is a great way to decrease pain! Please bring a yoga mat, and wear something comfortable to move in.

Morgan Sanborn is a member of City Ballet of Boston and freelance artist with extensive background training and performing in multiple styles of dance and 25+ years of teaching experience. She is currently an American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum® Fellowship Instructor, certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, Pilates Academy International Mat, and working toward completing a comprehensive Pilates Apparatus Certification.

Maine Driving Dynamics

This interactive workshop, developed by National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches, uses a science-backed approach. Coaches work with you to discover what your healthy future looks like from all angles (nutrition, exercise, relationships, sleep, etc.). Then you will find a focus and move it forward into a desired outcome. Finally, self-design a plan of action that is achievable and comfortable for you. This fun group coaching format includes group discussions and support along with thought-provoking exercises and worksheets. Leave with an individualized and realistic goal, a plan for action, and new tools to help sustain forward progress toward a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

Sarah Goodwin is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), trained at Duke Health & Well-Being. Being a health coach allows her to live true to her ideals while supporting others in their journey toward wholeness, with compassion and empathy. When not coaching, you can find Sarah in her garden with her three pups or on another adventure with her favorite travel partner/husband.

Death with Dignity Section 1 - Live Online

Maine's compassionate end-of-life care option is the subject of a great deal of confusion and false information. Although Maine's Death with Dignity Act has been in place since September 2019, most patients and medical personnel are still unaware of it. Learn how to talk about it with your doctor, how to comply with the law or how to help a family member who might qualify. Registration closes at noon on 1/15.

Val Lovelace founded the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization Maine Death with Dignity and also serves as its executive director. She spearheaded a grassroots campaign from 2014 to 2019 to pass Maine's aid-in-dying statute, the Maine Death with Dignity Act. She is committed to providing factual information regarding medical aid in dying in the United States to politicians, healthcare professionals, patients and their families.

Dan O’Brien received his certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University and is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. He has been solving family history mysteries for clients and reuniting bio families for the past 15 years.

Emily Loder is a recreational programmer who, through Girl Scouting and volunteer service, has learned many skills that she enjoys sharing with her community. She has extensive experience with both machine and hand sewing techniques.

Receive recommendations for eye shadows, blush and lipsticks that suit your coloring. Then you can put the two together to create a more vibrant you! Bring a pen/notepad.

Candace Sanborn is a personal stylist and owner of Radiant Image in Auburn. She teaches women how to look and feel good about their appearance by dressing for their coloring, body type, and face shape. Candace provides personalized color palettes and clothing portfolios to make shopping easier and more focused, which saves money and results in more outfits with fewer pieces because clothes mix and match!
